Keeping fit outdoors in autumn and winter is a challenge for the brave, as stepping out into the bracing cold is considered hardy to say the least. Still, when all wrapped up and snuggled in winter woollies with a good pair of comfy boots you will feel prepared for most autumn and winter weather conditions. Torch in hand and together with friends a hearty winter walk is a joy to experience.
A thought for our feathered friends who struggle at this time of year to find food and water too. Now is a great time to buy a little bird seed and fat balls to keep our garden friends fuelled through the winter months. There is a large percentage of birds which die during the freezing temperatures and harsh cold conditions. Beautiful as the garden can look when dusted with snow it’s the perfect time to add feed for the visiting birds who add joy to your garden.
